Endoscopy

Endoscopy refers to the use of a flexible camera telescope to view the inside of the oesophagus, stomach, duodenum and colon. To perform the procedure you will be given heavy sedation or a general anaesthetic.

These procedures are usually done as day procedures, which means you will go home the same day as the procedure. You may be required to stay overnight if other procedures are performed during the endoscopy.
